How GAUs work
Governed Agent Units (GAUs) are used across Clark (Superblocks’ AI agent) and other governance and AI features. Each AI interaction consumes GAUs based on the complexity of the request. Here are some example prompts and their cost:| User prompt | Work done | GAUs used |

Usage tracking Beta
Monitor your organization’s GAU usage directly in the Superblocks admin console. You can view:- Current GAU balance and usage trends
- Per-user GAU consumption
- Per-application GAU consumption
- Historical usage patterns
- Alerts when approaching GAU limits

Usage is tracked per-application, giving you granular insight into where GAUs are spent across your organization. This helps you:- Identify which applications consume the most GAUs
- Allocate resources and budget effectively across projects
- Make informed decisions about optimizing high-usage applications
